Testimonial for Anne Revell

 

I have known Anne Revell for over 27 years.  As an Australian working in London with no family support I am very grateful to Anne for her guidance and advice with my 3 children.  

 

My second child had hearing difficulties and it was Anne who alerted me to her lack of progress with reading and who helped find a specialist teacher for my daughter.  This was transformative as not only did Anne's early recognition of my daughter's difficulties ensure little delay with her academic progress but also minimised any emotional and self esteem issues.

 

My youngest child is dyslexic and struggled with many issues at school.  Anne helped and advised me for years on many aspects to help my son.  Anne also helped my son with individual issues such as his exam technique.  Whilst isolating particular areas for specific intervention and help Anne has also been great at looking at the whole child and how one issue can impact on other areas of behaviour or progress.

 

Anne has also helped more generally with advice and assistance with my children as they have gone through, sometimes very difficult, adolescent years.  Anne been my first port of call for help and advice with my children and has significantly impacted on our lives for the better.  LEP ( London UK)

My son,Benedict, was spotted his first year at primary school having difficulties with Maths. Anne had begun her work with other children and we were referred. What a difference! Anne explained the tests we needed, which we had done, and these confirmed Benedict's mind saw things in a different way. Anne was able to re focus his Maths teaching so that Benedict not only understood Maths, he actually looked forward to his weekly sessions with her. And for us, his parents, it also made a big difference, we understood that Benedict needed to approach Maths in a different way. Anne's specialist knowledge, patience and desire to make progress cannot be underestimated .

 

I can't thank Anne enough and neither can Benedict, GCSE Maths safely secured!

Anne worked with my son and myself to resolve problems we were having with his learning and behaviour. At age 6 he was struggling with his reading because of dyslexia. His self confidence was low and as a result his behaviour in class was beginning to be disruptive. With Anne's help, his reading was transformed and as important his confidence returned. He became a much happier child. I was able to stop worrying so much about him and his future. 10 years on he achieved good grades at gcse and is now a mature and popular student. I have no hesitation in recommending Anne Revell as I feel she played a vital role in this transformation.
